Ford Focus 2.0 16v Zetec ESP
When I first bought my Ford Focus Zetec I couldn’t get enough of it. Being 21 at the time and having been used to driving a 1.4 litre Ford Escort which I nicknamed “The Tank” (due to it’s sluggish acceleration), I couldn’t believe the difference in acceleration, speed and handling.
I’ve always been a bit “on the fence” about Fords but there’s no denying the Focus is a great car. I had also been looking at Volkswagen Golf’s and Audi A3’s at the time, but having decided against paying extra solely for the name, I began looking around for the Ford Focus I wanted.
I initially searched for a 1.8 litre Focus but having discovered that the 2.0 litre offered a lot more (16″ alloys instead of 15″, ESP, etc) and was only a car insurance group 8, I then searched for this instead. For weeks I couldn’t find the model I was after within my price range. I would always find 5-door models, and the 2.0 litre seemed inpossible to find. Luckily for me, having searched for one from all over the country I then found the ideal car just 6 miles up the road.
3 years on and despite it having a few problems (head gasket, new exhaust needed) I still think it’s a great car. The price is very good and i’d highly recommend this car to anyone.
